The app

• Meowse has no analytics, no crash reporting, no accounts and no ads.
• Your settings are stored only on your Mac, in Meowse’s preferences.
• Accessibility access is used only to smooth and reverse scroll events, stop a glide when you click, and wiggle the cursor. Meowse never receives keyboard events.

Update checks

Once a day, Meowse asks GitHub whether a newer version exists. The request carries only the app’s name and version. Like any web request, it reaches GitHub from your IP address, and GitHub’s privacy statement applies to it.

Turn off Check for updates automatically in Settings → Updates and Meowse makes no network requests at all unless you click Check Now. Updates download from GitHub too, and install only after Meowse confirms they’re signed by the same developer, notarized by Apple, and arrived intact.

This website

meowse.app is a static site with no cookies, no ads and no trackers. It’s served by Cloudflare, and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits without cookies and without following you to other sites. The download link goes to GitHub.
